Meet Phill Jones, our CEO.
Phill joined Engineius in April 2026 from MOTORS/Cazoo, where he played a key role in driving significant business growth. With extensive industry expertise, strong commercial relationships, and a deep understanding of technology, Phill is focused on accelerating the next phase of growth, scalability, and innovation, and strengthening and evolving our platform.
Tell us more about what you do at Engineius?
I joined in April as the new CEO at Engineius. There's various things that go into the role, but ultimately I'm here to help shape the strategy of the business and ensure we deliver against our plans.
More simply, make sure that we keep working to make vehicle movement easy to the benefit of our drivers, customers, team and shareholders.
How did you find the trip overall?
I had a great day out with Simon. Not only was the sun shining, but Simon also shared some great insights into life as an Engineius driver.
What did you enjoy most/what was the best part about your trip?
Having a lovely chat with one of the customers we delivered to, who was so interested in Engineius, he was going to look at applying to be a driver!
Is there a location in the UK that you would like to travel through on your next job?
I've never driven in Scotland, so that has to be on the list.
Any further comments?
I'd love a bit of wilderness! Ideally, with no messages pinging on my phone for a bit!
What is your dream car?
I'm an accountant by training, so I'd always find it hard to justify anything too expensive!
But I have spent a LOT of time recently looking at a spec'd up van for taking my son mountain biking. So perhaps a Transit Custom with some fun stripes and expensive racking!
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
I was once interviewed on The One Show (about helping to prevent vehicle fraud).
What did you do before Engineius?
I was COO at Motors/Cazoo - a used car advertising marketplace - for 15+ years. This gave me lots of exposure to the automotive industry, as well as using technology to solve issues and build highly engaged teams who deliver great customer service.
