Employee of the Month: Andrew Preston
Congratulations to Andrew Preston, our Senior Transport Planner, for being awarded Employee of the Month.
Since joining the business at the start of the year, Andrew has had a great impact on the Transport team. Customers have consistently praised the excellent service they’ve received, highlighting the positive difference Andrew has made.
His proactive approach to deployment and customer communication ensures requirements and expectations are consistently met, enabling us to deliver an even better customer experience across the business!
What do you do for Engineius?
After spending 6 years on the road as a Transporter myself, I now oversee the day-to-day operations of the Transporter department alongside Tjeea.
From managing live movement operations and deployment to coordinating multi-car bookings, I bring first-hand industry experience to the role. Having been in our agents’ shoes, I’ve built strong relationships with them and understand the challenges they face on a daily basis.
What motivates you to do well in your role?
I am motivated to help grow the department and make all our transporters on the road lives easier.
What playlist do you listen to in the car the most?
I listen to podcasts mainly - Parenting Hell or Talksport radio specifically.
What do you like most about working for Engineius?
The team comradery, everyone pulls together and supports each other.
What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
Sitting in the garden with a beer and playing football in the garden with my sons.
What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
This week, I managed to watch 60 minutes of the England game before falling asleep on the sofa haha!
Describe one thing you've learnt in your role?
Planning is key, and it’s always worth double-checking what the customer wants. No two movements are the same, so making sure all the details are correct from the outset helps everything run smoothly and prevents unnecessary delays or issues down the line.
What’s a hobby or interest you have that might surprise your colleagues?
I am really into Star Wars and Marvel, and have been to quite a few midnight screenings of films on release day.
