On-Site Vehicle Rental Agent

Location: Carlisle, Peterborough, Exeter & Enfield

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Pay: £600 per week

Contract: Ongoing self-employed role (initially 12 weeks, with strong potential for long-term work and career progression)

What We’re Looking For:

We're looking for a professional, reliable individual to be the key on-site contact at one of our client’s key delivery hubs. This is a hands-on customer enablement role, ideal for someone who enjoys a consistent routine, is organised, and takes pride in maintaining a smooth day-to-day operation.You’ll act as the face of Engineius and our client and your role will be to ensure that vehicle processes are integrated into business operations, verify that operators adhere to policies, and confirm that third-party providers are delivering their services correctly.This is an ongoing role with lots of independence and responsibility, perfect for someone who values stability and takes ownership.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing the Check-In and Check-Out of Amazon hire vehicles

• Conducting basic inspections and weekly vehicle condition checks

• Liaising with on-site teams and third-party service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

• Occasionally moving vehicles around the site or to local repair centres as needed

• Supporting light maintenance tasks, such as checking tyre pressures or fluid levels

• Supporting process adherence and reporting any operational issues

• Being a reliable on-site presence, available to handle tasks as needed, even during quiet periods

Note: This role includes significant downtime between tasks. You won’t be constantly on the move, but your consistent presence on-site is crucial to keeping everything running smoothly.

What You Need To Be Successful:

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Good organisational ability

• Intermediate IT skills (especially using Excel and smartphones)

• A full UK driving licence (with no more than 3 points)

• A professional and reliable attitude — you’ll represent us and our client on-site

• A smartphone (iPhone 6s / Android 6.0 or newer) with a data plan

• No driving bans in the last 5 years

• A clear DBS check (you don’t need to complete this until we process your application)
