Engineius support renewable energies in Asia.

Wind turbines generating renewable energy in a green field

Vehicle movement specialist Engineius continues to offset its unavoidable emissions in order to sustain a carbon-neutral business.

Engineius has paid to offset its corporate carbon footprint with climate-neutral expert, Climate Partner and is supporting renewable energies in Asia, which includes the following projects:

- Wind energy projects in India, Indonesia, and Turkey.

- Solar energy projects in India.

- Hydropower projects in Turkey and Sri Lanka.

- Biogas and Biomass projects in India and Thailand.

Chris Clibbery, director at Engineius, states: “We are delighted to maintain our accreditation as a climate-neutral company and support a new project this year. Engineius is determined to deliver the greenest possible solution in vehicle movement.”

Engineius works with Climate Partner to be a climate-neutral company by calculating its Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF). This includes emissions from sources such as energy and heating, business travel, office supplies and everything else produced. This figure is recalculated each year to monitor progress and identify additional areas for improvement.

Interest and demand for renewable energies are growing on the Asian continent, and these Climate projects generate the necessary resources to drive the expansion of sustainable technologies. This renewable energy portfolio supports projects in several countries across Asia.,

How renewable energy contributes to climate action.

Renewable energies play a crucial role in climate action. One-third of greenhouse gas emissions stem from burning fossil fuels like coal and oil. This kind of energy generation is not only finite but has severe negative effects on the climate.

To reduce CO2 emissions, mitigate the effects of climate change, and meet an ever-growing energy demand, it is essential to promote renewable energy sources.

The most popular sources of renewable energy are wind, solar, and hydropower. However, energy can also be harnessed from biogas and biomass plants using animal dung or organic residues. Another renewable source is geothermal energy, which is generated and stored in the earth. Climate projects play an important role in transferring and implementing these technologies worldwide. Project activities not only avoid CO2 emissions but can also reduce a country’s dependency on fossil fuels, secure the energy supply, and provide jobs for local communities.

Clibbery concludes: “We are all responsible for minimising our environmental impact. As well as delivering a quality service, Engineius will work with our fleet customers to ensure the day-to-day movement of vehicles within their fleet role supports their own business goals towards carbon neutrality.”
