Employee of the Month: Simeon Fellows

Congratulations to Simeon Fellows, our Movement Planner, for being awarded Employee of the Month for September.

This month, we voted for our value, Be the Solution. This value is all about seeing the daily challenges that we all face as opportunities to learn and develop, whilst using initiative to think of positive solutions!

Simeon consistently offers positive solutions to daily challenges with a smile on his face. He willingly assists colleagues with their issues and has produced great work during his time so far at Engineius.

What do you do for Engineius?

I look after the Single Car Transport, Multicar Transport, HGV and Offshore side of the business.

Working with our agents to fulfil moves all over the UK, including Northern Ireland and all the Scottish Isles.

What motivates you to do well in your role?

I am a very ambitious person and always looking to improve and grow the transported side of the business, even if it’s by 1%.

Also, maintaining great relationships with customers and suppliers to make sure we always find a solution to any problem; meeting and exceeding the expectations they may have.

What playlist do you listen to in the car the most?

I regularly listen to the High Performance Podcast and Wrighty’s House and always enjoy some old school 80s and 90s car karaoke!

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

Just being a big kid with my two boys. Being around them is huge for me! Each moment with my wife and kids are priceless memories.

I also enjoy football, NFL, travelling and catching up with friends.

What do you like most about working for Engineius?

I enjoy the flexibility it offers me to thrive in my role and really grab it by both hands and implement changes where necessary. Also, having the ability to work hybrid is fantastic because it gives me a great work/life balance.

The people I work with also bring out the best of me with a good balance of professionalism and banter that you need in a workplace 😄

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?

I read earlier in the week that there are more chickens than people in the UK…. Not sure if that’s entirely true or whether it is counting live chickens and supermarket stacked ones, but I thought it was cool!

Describe one thing you've learnt in your role?

The ins and outs of my role. I initially had little experience of the Transporter and HGV world before accepting the role, but each day has been a learning curve and I am constantly learning and picking the brains of suppliers and customers to know more, so I can then in turn grow this side of the business.

What’s the most useless talent you have?

I have a talent for memorising useless sporting facts apparently, according to my wife, I can’t remember things she may have asked me to do but then can easily reel off the Grand National Winners from 1992-2006…
