Employee of the Month: Carl Ricketts
Congratulations to Carl Ricketts, our Business Development Manager, for being awarded Employee of the Month.
From contributing practical ideas in meetings to supporting colleagues, his enthusiasm and willingness to get involved make a real difference. He’s a true asset to the team and someone who encourages us to think differently and find new and better ways of doing things.
What do you do for Engineius?
I am responsible for the full sales process at Engineius, from prospecting right through to closing and onboarding.
I identify and target companies that I think would genuinely benefit from a vehicle movement partner and where I can see we'd make a real difference to how they operate. I reach out to start conversations and get in front of the right people. From there, I take the time to understand how they currently manage their fleet and vehicle movements, listen to the pain points they're facing, and show them how Engineius can make that process more efficient, more visible and easier to manage, so they end up with a solution that actually solves their problem, not just a sales pitch.
What motivates you to do well in your role?
I try to do my best in every role I have, but I would say my little boy motivates me most.
What playlist do you listen to in the car the most?
A mix of music RnB/Hip hop and deep house/Garage music, so a variety of genres!
What do you like most about working for Engineius?
Colleagues in all departments make the business a great, enjoyable place to work!
What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
Playing with my son before his bedtime.
Describe one thing you've learnt in your role?
I've learnt just how important vehicle delivery is to our customers' success. It's not just a logistics task; it's core to keeping their operations running smoothly. Get it right, and the impact ripples out: happier end customers, less internal firefighting, and teams freed up to focus on what actually grows the business.
What’s a hobby or interest do you have that might surprise your colleagues?
Recently, I have been paying attention to Pokémon and actually started buying/collecting vintage sets - funny but its a very lucrative industry
